The front side of the quilt features all four desert bus shift banners, arranged around the endless and un-turning desert road that the bus travels each year. Each banner is pieced in unique fabrics and embellished with decorative threads to give them an individual flair. The center of the quilt features a precisely-pieced mariner's compass design. It may not tell you which way is North, but the road only leads one place anyway, right? The shift banners are arranged so that there is always one upright whichever way you're using the blanket. The large throw or small twin size is perfect for one or two people to share or as a large art wall hanging to subtly show your community pride. The back side is a single piece of hand-dyed batik material that is soft and smooth to the touch and perfect to tuck your feet under.
