Auction Description "My lungs taste the air of time / blown past falling sands" - Gurney Halleck

Enter the vast universe of Frank Herbert's Dune with this dramatic timepiece. In the center is the planet Arakkis - "Dune" - the source of the mystic orange spice melange. Ringing it is a coded Fremen desert prayer. Above and below are the two moons with the shape of a hand on the larger and the smaller bearing the shadow of the desert mouse muad'dib. Around, in a field of black space, are the blades of the crysknife. Made from the tooth of the sandworm, they are engraved with swirling lines of the endless desert. The outer edge reflects the golden path of the Kwisatz Haderach and a future that walks the razor's edge to humanity's survival.

The hour hand shows Houses Atreides and Harkonnen who vie for control of Dune. The minute hand is the poison gom jabbar needle of the Bene Gesserit who seek to bend the future to their own will.

Made from materials including myrtle, rosewood, and hand-torched red oak, this clock has been meticulously finished and sealed to last perhaps even to the year 10,191. It measures ~15.5"W x 2"d, hangs flush on any wall, and its silent movement is powered by one AA battery.

Craft-Along? Yep!
